Guidelines and Policies

One of National Grid’s fundamental strengths is its commitment to enhance the quality of life in the diverse communities we serve. Our partnerships with local nonprofit organizations have helped National Grid earn an excellent reputation as a good corporate citizen.
National Grid’s contributions are primarily awarded to nonprofit organizations in the following categories:
  • Education
  • Energy related organizations
  • Environment
To be eligible for funding considerations:
  • Organization should comply with applicable laws to ensure nonprofit status remains current
  • Organization should provide required documentation (i.e. budget, proposals as applicable)
  • Organization should serve the community without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, religion, national or ethnic origin, or disability
  • Project or event should serve customers in National Grid's service territory
